Job Description:

The Test Engineer's role is to prepare test cases and perform testing of the product/platform/solution to be deployed at a client end, ensuring it meets 100% quality assurance parameters.

Responsibilities:

1. Understand the test requirements and design test cases for the product.

2. Author test planning with knowledge of business requirements and corresponding testable requirements.

3. Implement Wipro's way of testing using model-based testing and achieve efficient test generation.

4. Review test cases with peers to minimize rework.

5. Collaborate with the development team to identify and capture test cases and ensure version control.

6. Set criteria, parameters, and scope for testing and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

7. Automate the test life cycle process using tools like VB macros, scheduling, and GUI automation.

8. Design and execute the automation framework and reporting.

9. Develop and automate tests for software validation by setting up test environments, designing test plans, and executing test cases/scenarios/usage cases.

10. Raise test defects following defined norms and provide clear descriptions and replication patterns.

11. Detect and report bug issues, prepare defect reports, and track test progress.

12. Ensure timely delivery of work items within Wipro/Customer SLA's and norms.

13. Design and release test status dashboards at the end of each test execution cycle.

14. Provide feedback on usability, serviceability, and quality risks to relevant stakeholders.

15. Report status to customers and maintain good quality of interaction through email, fault report tracking, voice calls, etc.

16. Deliver on-time reports, test execution updates, and relevant dashboard updates.

17. Respond to customer requests in a timely manner and address any complaints internally or externally.
