Job Title: Software Tester


Experience: 2-6 years

Location: Kolkata (New Town)


Job Description:


We have an urgent opening for the position of Software Tester at Management and Computer Consultants (MCC). The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies and possess the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You will be responsible for understanding requirements, creating test plans, performing functional, integration, system, and regression testing, and maintaining detailed test cases.


Responsibilities:


- Understand requirements thoroughly and create test plans accordingly

- Conduct functional, integration, system, and regression testing

- Design, execute, and maintain detailed test cases

- Create and maintain test data, tools, and scripts

- Utilize bug tracking tools and manually maintain bug tracker for closure

- Collaborate with product management, development, and QA teams to understand the product/features and testing objectives

- Work independently with minimal supervision and take ownership of assigned tasks

- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders


Desired Candidate Profile:


- 2-6 years of experience in software testing

- Knowledge of any programming language will be an added advantage

- Good communication skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Familiarity with software testing methods and software development lifecycle (SDLC)


Key Skills:


- QA & manual testing

- Bug tracking and reporting

- Test case creation and maintenance

- Test plan development and understanding
