Job Description:

As a QA Engineer at Eastvantage, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, usability, and performance of applications developed by the organization. This includes designing and creating test cases, implementing manual and automated tests, executing test scripts, and documenting defects. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in software testing methodologies and tools, as well as experience working in an Agile Scrum environment.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality of applications.

- Collaborate with development teams to understand project requirements and provide input on testability and quality aspects.

- Conduct functional, regression, and integration testing to identify defects and ensure proper functionality of the applications.

- Design and implement manual and automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Java, JMeter, Postman, or others.

- Investigate and troubleshoot issues and defects, working closely with development teams to identify root causes and implement appropriate solutions.

- Generate detailed reports on test results, defects, and quality metrics to communicate testing progress to stakeholders.

- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a QA or testing environment, preferably in a software development company.

- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.

- Experience in creating test strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases.

- Proficiency in Agile Scrum methodology and familiarity with the entire software development life cycle (SDLC).

- Experience in functional and regression testing, as well as test automation using tools like Selenium, Java, JMeter, Postman, or others.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and find creative solutions.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Self-motivated and proactive with a strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and also collaboratively in a team environment.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
