SUMMARY

As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for building Automated & manual test cases for Data Integration for the Data Warehouse applications. This individual will be a critical member of the team supporting various Data Integration Projects. This position will report to the EDW Manager.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Quality Engineer will partner with Developers, BI Analyst, and Key Business leaders to understand their needs and then creates Automated/Manual test cases to validate the developed solutions to make sure quality standards are addressed.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

- Understanding of detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.

- Able to understand Quality Metrics and status reporting.

- Able to implement test strategies and ensure that all various kinds of testing like unit, functional, performance, stress, acceptance, etc. are getting covered.

- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.

- Ensuring all development tasks meet quality criteria through test planning, test execution, quality assurance, and issue tracking.

- Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.

- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.

- Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.

- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.

- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.

- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.

- Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

- Understanding of automated testing tools.

- Good understanding of SQL and scripting.

- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development process.

Technical Skills/Abilities

- Basics of Software QA methodologies & processes.

- Understanding of Automated testing tools like Selenium & Core Java/Python, HTML, JSON, etc.

- Basic Manual Testing.

- Understanding of QA Tools (TFS/JIRA).

- Good understanding of SQL queries.
