Job Title: Software Test Engineer/QA Tester

Location: Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia


Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Software Test Engineer/QA Tester to join our team in Shah Alam, Selangor. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through manual testing and automation testing. You will work closely with the development team and project managers to understand project requirements and execute test plans accordingly.


Responsibilities:

- Conduct manual testing of software applications to identify bugs, defects, and issues.

- Develop and execute test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios based on project requirements.

- Perform functional, regression, and system testing to ensure software meets quality standards.

- Collaborate with the development team to report and track issues using bug tracking tools.

- Participate in test case reviews and provide feedback to improve test coverage and effectiveness.

- Design and implement automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and ensure proper test coverage.

- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in software testing methodologies and tools.

- Provide accurate and timely reports on test results, test coverage, and defects to stakeholders.


Requirements:

- Minimum Diploma in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Marketing, or equivalent.

- Strong communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.

- Proven experience in software manual testing and automation testing.

- Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks such as POSTMAN, API testing, and dashboard development.

- Good understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.

- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

- ISTQB certification or any relevant certifications will be a plus.
