Associate QA Engineer

 Job Title: Associate QA Engineer


Job Description:


As an Associate QA Engineer at Stavtar, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our software applications through manual and automated testing. You will work closely with distributed business and development teams, contributing to the delivery of high-quality products. This position is based in either Bangalore or Mumbai.


Responsibilities:


- Develop, publish, implement, and execute test plans to ensure thorough testing coverage.

- Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using tools like Selenium.

- Track and report quality assurance metrics such as defects, features, and deliverables.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into test cases.

- Work independently to automate and test web applications and services.

- Create test scenarios and draft functional test cases based on specifications.

- Coordinate with Product Managers, Program Managers, and Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle.

- Document test results and prepare release notes for each release.


Required Competences - Must-have Skills:


- Relevant experience in automation testing, preferably 0-1 years.

- Hands-on experience and knowledge of testing web applications.

- Proficiency in writing manual test cases and designing/implementing automation frameworks.

- Strong programming skills, particularly in Java, along with a good understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts and the collection framework.

- Deep understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

- Familiarity with relational databases and experience in working with SQL queries.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Work Location: Bangalore or Mumbai


Working Hours: 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM IST or 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST (as per the US daylight saving schedule)
